Important steps taken

Normally, the board holds five or six meetings a year. In 2025, that number was significantly higher because important steps had to be taken in preparation for the new pension scheme. One of these steps was the formal decision making process around the transition to the new pension scheme. In mid-2024, Shell Nederland and the Central Works Council (COR) submitted a transition plan to the SSPF board. This plan describes how the transition to the new scheme will be implemented and how pension assets will be distributed. In 2025, the board assessed whether the plans were careful, feasible and balanced enough to formally accept the assignment. The assessment was positive, upon which the board formally accepted the assignment and SSPF took a further step toward implementing the new pension scheme.
